Shelby Women for Progress thrives on a member-led approach to organization. One of our goals is to help support SW4P member efforts in our community, and we are so thrilled that this local protest is being organized by young change-makers in our community.
This protest will be happening on Sunday, February 23, 2025 between 1-4pm.
Bring signs and bring yourselves! And be sure to support the event host, Lily Bean Coffee, now and in the future! From their recent Facebook post promoting this event:
“As a black owned business, we stand behind our community and the importance of the progression of diversity in our community. We, well as many, are anxious about the incoming changes we are seeing by the new Presidential administration, which will not only affect ourselves but the vast majority of black-owned businesses.”
