Many of us ONLY tune in to elections once every 4 years. For those who are paying just a little more attention, we vote in the midterms, but did you know that LOCAL municipal elections are among the least contested, and these are the positions that directly impact our lives?
Elections are always happening
local elections have the most direct impacts on our lives.
Rural small towns across the US present an incredible amount of opportunity. Currently, power is often grabbed by a small group of friends in true “good ‘ol boy” fashion because local elections are not highly publicized, and candidates often run uncontested.
We aim to change that in Cleveland County.
IN 2023, just 7.25% of voters turned out for Cleveland County municipal elections.
